To get a great job, you need to hang out where the professionals hang out.

• Every job has a professional home. For example, engineers have IEEE, and accountants have the AICPA. Joining these groups as a student is usually very cheap.
• Use Meetup.com or Eventbrite to find local professional events in your city. Don't be afraid to go! Most professionals love helping students. If you go to one event a month, you will meet people who can tell you about jobs that aren't even posted online yet.
