A mentor is someone who shares their map with someone who is just starting the journey. You don’t need to be a CEO to be a mentor. If you are a Senior, you can mentor a Junior. If you are a Junior, you can mentor a student.

• Look for people who are in the position you were in two years ago. Offer to review their resume or do a mock interview.
• Explaining how to do something helps you master it yourself. Plus, the person you mentor today will be a loyal contact in your network for the next 20 years.
